Why urethane casting?

Get production-quality parts without the tooling investment of injection molding.

Production Quality at Low Volumes

Produce 10-200 units with production-level quality. Each silicone mold produces approximately 20 castings, making it ideal for bridge production and market testing.

Complex Elastomeric Parts

Ideal for prototyping elastomeric parts such as complex gaskets, seals, and overmolds on rigid parts. Materials range from 20 Shore A to 87 Shore D.

High Level of Detail

Achieve almost limitless complexity, including sharp internal corners unachievable with CNC machining, and designs without draft or uniform wall-thickness.

Urethane casting capabilities

From master pattern creation to finished parts, we handle the complete urethane casting process.

Urethane casting finishing options

Choose from a variety of surface finishes to achieve the desired look and feel for your parts.

Matte

A smooth finish that typically doesn't reflect light. Sometimes referred to as eggshell.

Applications: Any durometer of plastic, smooth parts that don't require gloss or texture.

Texture: Smooth, not textured

Glossy

A shiny or reflective surface finish that's extremely smooth.

Applications: Parts needing a reflective or clear appearance, softer parts that need to seal.

Texture: Shiny and extremely smooth

Light Texture (MT11010)

A dull matte finish that has a sand-like appearance.

Applications: Hard plastic housings or cases requiring light texture for aesthetics or grip.

Texture: Lightly textured

Medium Texture (MT11020)

A more pronounced surface graining for items that require more texture.

Applications: Hard plastic housings requiring medium texture for aesthetics or added grip.

Texture: Medium texture

Heavy Texture (MT11030)

The most pronounced surface graining for items requiring the highest level of texture.

Applications: Hard plastic housings requiring heavy texture for aesthetics or heavy grip.

Texture: Heavy texture
